The mofongo was good and the meat was textured like jerky. It was Pretty expensive though.
I've eaten here too many times to count. I find myself coming here after exploring downtown Brooklyn. I'll even pop in just for an empanada which are the best vegan empanadas I've had. The yaroa (sweet plantain) one is definitely my favorite one hands down. I love the satisfaction sandwich and the mushroom burger. The staff are always friendly and attentive, I've never had a bad experience here. The style of restaurant is definitely on the casual side, although the decor is cute and very tropical feeling.
I've been dying to try this restaurant after seeing all of their delicious food on Instagram! The restaurant inside is so cute and the service is super quick! Had this first week of becoming a Vegan. Food was delicious and favor flavorful. Had the Vegan burger and because I'm greedy I also had black beans, white rice, sautéed mushrooms, plantains, and avocado. All very good.
The staff and owner Blenlly were welcoming and amazing! Daisy, Maria and Christion were pleasant and professional! The food was all delicious and seasoned well! We had the sancocho, classic plate, fried cauliflower, crispy mofongo, maduros. My favorite was the sancocho. The portions were plentiful and enough for sharing! I would return again. Pull up to Next Stop Vegan for Latin-packed mixed flavors. Two Brooklyn locations, in Brooklyn Heights and Greenpoint. Lunch specials, tasty empanadas, and a flavorful menu make this a must stop.
I don't normally like writing reviews however this place got it right on all fronts. Ambiance - great decor. Modern meets rustic. Love the wood. Service 10 out of 10. Was greeted and seated right away. The temperature was great too. Food - AMAZING. Creative and bursting with flavor. I literally wanted to order everything on the menu. I got the Cauliflower wings with 3 different sauces. Great taste and great portions. Also, ordered the spicy oyster mushroom salad. What a wonderful world of bursting flavors and elevated textures. This place is a MUST visit for all. Tell a friend to tell a friend. In the words of Arnold "I'll Be Back"!
What a lovely experience! My friend semi enjoyed her mofongo but I enjoyed my platano sandwich. It was a lot and a bit messy but so good. Will definitely come back to try other menu items. By the way, the empanadas were delicious especially the lentils and potatoes.
I got the Clasico Plato which was very flavorful - tasty mushrooms with onion and pepper, rice and plantain and a salad with avocado and a side of black beans. Yum!! It's a touch pricey as a lunch meal at $21+, but the quality and quantity for me make it OK - and I'll probably split this into two lunches. (Full disclosure they had a sign outside about lunch specials, but I wanted to try a regular classic plate). Staff is super nice, and the restaurant itself is quite cute. I definitely plan to return, as I still want to try an empanada! A nice addition to the neighborhood, for sure!
